Valentines Day Ideas

I have a fun project for you today! I love to add a little crafty decor for holidays, even the minor ones! So I had to come up with something for Valentines Day!

This is so easy to make!

First you need to cut a verity of strips 1 and 1 1/2 inches wide by 12 inches long out of double sided paper. I just went through my scraps and pulled out strips that coordinated. Then you will need to fold your strips in half.

Next select 2-3 tube like objects. You will need a verity of thicknesses to use when you roll your paper. The larger the tube the looser your curl, the smaller the tube the tight the curl.

Start at one end and roll your paper as far down to the center as you want. Then repeat on the other side.
To create different sizes you can now pull the curl up a bit to give you a larger size.
Then I used a glue dot (but clear glue would work) to hold the top of the heart together.

To create even larger heart I took a 12 inch strip and glue dotted a 6 inches strip to the end of it and then did the same curling process.

To sting them together I used fishline with a needle - worked like a charm! Be sure you string through the top part of the heart.

Have fun!

  2. Cute. You have me wondering if it'd work for shamrocks. Something to try when I get home from work.
