CHA picks from Tanya

Hi everyone - Tanya here, and I loved seeing all the sneak peaks of new products shown at CHA a few weeks ago in Las Vegas.  I was most excited about ....

Doodlebug Design's Day to Day collection
I love all the bright, yet toned down colors in this collection, as well as the typical fun icons that just make any Doodlebug collection so cute ... chevrons, arrows, mustaches, camera, dots, even glasses.  Super cute collection for those everyday layouts.  I know I will use this with my Project Life!

Bella Blvd's Daily Chevies & Everyday Bits collection
I love this collection because I LOVE basics!!  I use these types of tone-on-tone papers like I would cardstock - as backgrounds, mats, layering, etc.

Bella Blvd's Snapshots collection
SUPER cute cameras, arrows, clouds, woodgrain, dots and stripes in a fun, bright color scheme!

Simple Stories Say Cheese collection
I think this is on EVERYONE'S list of must-have's!  There is nothing better than this great color scheme with these perfect dots, stripes, and tickets for everyday scrapbooking or cards - not just for Disney vacations! :)

Technique Tuesday various stamps
In addition to the old favorites coming back, the holiday sets with flair and sentiments are amazing!

But, the thing that I am MOST excited about, thought was revolutionary and can't wait to purchase ...

Silhouette America's Stamping Starter Kit
You will be able to use your Silhouette (SD, Cameo or Portrait) to create your own clear stamps!!  My mind was blown with all the possibilities!!

Looking forward to seeing these products very soon in stores! ;)
Thanks for stopping by!

Cindy's CHA-Summer Picks

Cindy here!  Ever since the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) summer tradeshow, I've been stalking my favorite online store waiting to buy my must-haves.  Here's what's on my list:

Smarty Pants is my favorite of the many school-themed collections I've seen so far, but it's the Simple Basics pack that I absolutely love.  The A-sides all have composition book pattern, and the B-sides feature different types of papers, like binder paper, grid paper, and ledger paper.  The colors are fantastic.  I'm getting multiples of these for sure, as they are so incredibly versatile.

Since I don't have any Christmas washi yet, these are particularly excellent to add to my collection.  I definitely want to wrap my Christmas gifts with washi tape this year.

They claim this line is "perfect for fall, summer, spring, camping, outdoors, indoors, boys, girls, ladies and gentleman."  You can't get much more versatile than that!  I can definitely see using it for a wide variety of subjects.  I love the color palette.

I need more Halloween supplies like I need a hole in my head, but I really like this collection.  With the exception of the spiderwebs, the B-sides are not themed, so it's pretty easy to justify getting this since I can use it for non-Halloween occasions.

If I don't need Halloween paper, then I REALLY don't need Christmas paper.  But I can justify getting the Simple Basics and the Fundamental and Expression Cardstock Stickers from this collection.  This is my favorite of this year's Christmas collections.

This is my #1 must-have.  I love the colors, love the patterns, and I especially love the dots/stripe Simple Basics.  While this collection is obviously Disney-inspired, it isn't heavily themed and can be used for all sorts of other topics.

There you have it, my CHA-Summer must-haves!

Gael's Picks of New Products!

Hi, its Gael here today and I’d like to share with you some of the new products recently released at CHA.  These are just the ones that took my eye and which I’m really looking forward to seeing in the stores.
I have a love for vintage/heritage collections and I’m so thrilled to see so many companies have new ranges coming out.  I’m just not sure how I can pick my favourites but I’m sure I’ll be seeking out the following collections.
Webster’s Pages – Postcards from Paris II

Prima – Vintage Vanity & Everyday Vintage

I’ve also just started getting into the Project Life style of scrapbooking and luckily for me they have also brought out a Heritage kit, so I’ve got this one on order already!!
Project Life – Heritage kit

Some other goodies which I would love to try out include the Color Wash from Pink Paisley and the Color Magic from Heidi Swapp.
Pink Paisley – Color Wash

Heidi Swapp – Color Magic

There are so many fun new products coming out that I found it really hard to decide on a few favourites so I’m really looking forward to seeing what products other people are looking forward to trying.

Pam's Picks of New Products

Howdy all, it's Pam here and I am sharing my picks of new products from the summer CHA show. In case you haven't seen it, here is a excellent listing of all of the products released in July: http://www.scrappyjedi.com/p/cha-summer-2013-sneak-peeks.html . All week you will see some of the contributors' picks for new products! It will be so cool to see what everyone likes. Btw- I know this post seems late after the CHA show, but this is when the time when the products start hitting the shelves, so it seems like a great time. The contributors or I are not getting any compensation for their picks, they are just posting stuff they like :)

So, let me get started!!

1. This summer there was so much to chose from, which poses a problem when it comes to picking stuff. My first pick is a collection called Memorabilia by Theresa Collins. The colors are right up my alley along with the blackboard accents. The paper really spoke to my style and I want just about all of them. Here are a few highlights of my favorite!

2.  My next pick is a bright and festive collection from Pink Paislee called Hey Kid. When I first saw the sneak, I KNEW this was going to be something i wanted!  Bright colors such as yellow, teal, pink, red, orange and so much more!! I love all of the circular acccents, die cut papers and various patterned papers. Here is just a few of the ones I like ;)

3. The next one I just love is by My Minds Eye called Cut & Paste. This has mini collections to it and there are certain color combos that I adore. I tend to go towards the more masculine color line (even with a little pink) and even if it has floral in it! I also love their brads. I am posting a few different papers and brads that I love from this collection!

4. Lastly, as you might know, I am addicted to sticker sheets right now. These sticker sheets from Simple Stories are a must get for me! Check out it.

Are you surprised by my picks? What are your picks? Stay tuned this week for more contributor picks.

New Blocked Template to share!

Hi!  Dolores here today to share a fun blocked template with you.  This one is versatile and can handle several pictures if you have a theme you want to cover.  Here is my sketch.

I have made a couple of layouts using this template and just changed elements around when I wanted a different look.  Here is my layout that pretty much follows the sketch above.

I am so fortunate to have enough space in my yard for a nice flower garden so I decided to put some of my favorites in this blocked layout.  I've got six photos here and a few flower elements added to make my title more interesting.   Below is another example of this template, this time I went another direction, I have a theme but it wasn't about the pictures.

Here my page was a love theme, so I used all kinds of hearts to fill my blocks and only had one picture that I put in a heart mask.  As you can see there are all kinds of possibilities.

If you would like the template you can download it from the link below.  The file contains PSD, TIF and PNG files.  Hope you enjoy it!
