Hello everyone!! It's Friday again and I am so thankful it is! Today I am so very honored to feature a very talented artist! She has a great sense of "scrapbook" style! Make sure you check out her blog for some more GREAT ideas! I know you will find inspiration in her posts today ;) Let's get to know Kelly!
Hi, I’m Kelly Massman! I am from Missouri, the Show-Me State! I’m excited to be a guest designer for Ideas for Scrapbookers! I have been scrapbooking since 2000. I remember starting out with basic paper, some awkward cutting templates, a glue stick, and some decorative scissors! I cut my pictures in all sorts of odd shapes! Now, I wish I could put them back together! The pictures back then were taken on a non-digital camera, and I have no idea where the negatives are! It is so much easier to take and organize digital pictures now, isn’t it! I’ve come a long way since then! I’m sure you have, too!
I’ve had a love of paper for as long as I can remember. It is documented to my childhood as early as eight-years old! My mom recently found a school assignment from back then that asked “If I could have anything I wanted, it would be ________________.” My answer: “300 sheets of paper!” Well, I am embarrassed to say that my scrapbook paper collection is quite a bit larger than 300 sheets!!! Because of that love of paper, I have not done any digital layouts—though I have that on my list...
My style is eclectic--anything goes! I love trying new techniques and ideas. However, my focus is ALWAYS on the pictures! Some of my scrapbook pages may seem simple compared to some of the beautifully artistic layouts you see everywhere. Simple works for me! And, I like inspiring people who are otherwise afraid to try scrapbooking by letting them know that it is ok to keep it simple! It’s all about individual style! I entered the blog world just a few months ago. My blog is Uniquely Me, Imperfections and All. That name describes my layouts and me as an individual!
Thanks for joining me, and I hope to see you in the blog world!
