Fashion a card to your desired size. For my example, I used white cardstock cut to 4-1/2” x 7-1/2”.
Next cut a rectangle of hot pink cardstock the exact same size as the front of the card and punch a scalloped edge. (size of example 4-1/2” x 3-3/4”)
Next cut a smaller, coordinating piece of patterned paper to fit just within the scalloped border. (size of example 4” x 3-1/4”)
Now you’re ready to start on the cupcake!
Cut a 1-1/2” x 3” length of pinstriped patterned paper. Then fold it accordion style, using the lines as guides. Along the top edge, trim a simple zig zag border. Set it aside.
Next punch a 2” circle out of another coordinated patterned paper.
Find a scrap of paper that would make a good “topping” – preferably one with “sprinkles” and trace outside the top edge of the circle slightly. You’ll want this to look like icing, so you’ll want it to be a little bit larger than the size of the circle. Then freehandedly, draw a wavy line across to create the bottom edge of the icing line and cut. Keep all of your lines soft and rounded.
Next, either punch a small heart or use a chipboard accent for your “cherry on top”. You should now have all of the following pieces (or ingredients).
Then simply assemble and adorn as you wish. In my example, I added a bit of puffy paint and glitter along the icing line, a simple ribbon and a sticker.
Have fun and be sweet!

how adorable!!!
