1. To create the poinsettia you will need; small and medium EK Success retro flower punches, red and green cardstock, flower stamens, inkpad, alcohol ink, single hole punch, adhesive, scissors
2. Punch 1 small and 2 medium flowers from the red card and 1 medium flower from the green card
3. Fold each petal on all of the flowers as shown
4. Cut a small curved section from each side of the folded tip of each petal to create a ‘pen nib’ shape. Repeat this for all of the petals of the punched shapes
5. Punch a single hole in the centre of all of the red layers
6. Cut the petals from green layer to create a pair of petals together and a single petal
7. Fold each of the red petals at their base to create dimensional petals and a base that will lay flat on your project
8. Glue the two medium layers together so that the petals are offset from one another. Add the small layer to the centre, offset the petals once again
9. Colour 3 to 4 white flower stamens using butterscotch alcohol ink
10. Pass the coloured stamens through the holes in the centres of the flower layers and secure the ends on the underside
11. Attach the pair of green leaves to the underside of the flower slightly offset from the petal layers and add the single leaf to the opposite side of the flower
12. Lightly ink the petals and leaves to highlight the edges. You can add a little gold using metallic rub-on creams, gold leafing pens or paint for a touch of luxury! These flowers are great for holiday projects and can be made from patterned papers to create co-ordinating embellishments
