Remember if you just want the sketch, you'll need to right click on the image below and then click on "Save As". I chose to use snowflakes as embellishments because I was planning a Winter page, but you can use whatever you want in their place.
Here is my example layout... I used Scraptastic Club's "Holy Mittens, Santa" kit to create this layout so I can't claim credit for the gorgeous color combination. I followed the sketch I made pretty closely, but I did add in a few circular embellishments and a scalloped edge punch on the left.
I am primarily a 12x12 scrapbooker so I usually create my sketches in that size, but they can be converted fairly easily to 8.5x11 as shown below in my friend Juliann Marchant's page. We used the same sketch and the same kit but our layouts are totally unique! I always think that's so cool. I love how she added the ribbon to the bottom of the star embellishment and her photos are very pretty!
In the future I'm going to try to feature additional layouts when I post sketches to show that they can be used in different ways! I'd like to thank Juliann for letting me spotlight her layout this time around.
If you are a digital scrapbooker and you want the layered template that I created in Photoshop Elements, please click on the link below to download.
