<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Onto my pages. My first page.One of my most favorite things about the Jolly Good collection is the colors. I just love that in addition to traditional colors of red, green, and white, this collection includes a soft blue, pink, orange, and grey. Here is the layout I created with the softer tones. Layout inspired <a href="http://www.chickaniddy.com/Blog/december-guest-designer/"> Paige Evans</a>. I cut out a large snowflake and then filled it with triangles. I had already cut out three sizes to my triangles. I stitched on my page, embellished and I was done!</span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"> For my next page, I designed my page all around a star from the <a href="http://www.chickaniddy.com/product/jolly-good-die-cut-tags/">Die Cuts Tags </a>in the Jolly Good Collection of Chickaniddy Crafts! As you can see I used lots of patterned papers to lead your eyes right to that shining star! Want to hear something cool: <b><i>I have turned this into a cut file and the talented Meghann Andrew (on the <a href="http://www.chickaniddy.com/blog/">Chickaniddy Crafts blog</a>) will be sharing her page and a link to the die cut file in December!</i></b></span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">After I created my design it was all about accenting, but not accenting too much. I saw this idea in an old CK magazine where they layered the circles of the same pattern over a patterned paper. I decided to add this to my page! </span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">On my next page, I had fun manipulating text around a circle in Photoshop Elements. <b>HINT:</b> You can do this without that program. Simply print off different sized sentences on white cardstock and place as rays around a circle. I think this is a neat way to tell the story, almost like a clock.</span></span></div>

</span> </span></span><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">My last page was inspired simply from a wrapped package. I just love the way packages look under the tree, so I mimicked that look with some banners strips to look like ribbon. So basically the box has a green top, a white (with a little pattern) bottom and some pretty ribbon. The patterned paper outside of that white patterned paper pulls it all together.</span></span><br />

Here are some brand new pages I have created recently!</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">I love to challenge myself to do different things with my pages. It is what makes scrapbooking fun for me. For October I decided to go for three completely different designs and see what I came up with. Below you will see what I created and how they all differ from each other.</span><span style="font-size: small;">
This month's theme is "thankful." I wanted to create pages for the people I am thankful for, the first one being my son. I was inspired by all of the circle layouts from the craft team last month and this month and created this design. It features several papers cut out in circles and text added to the circles. I used a text path I bought from two peas in a bucket, when it was still open, to create the text. You can do this with your paper and handwriting if you like. Just cut out a piece of white cardstock to fit the circle and write over it. Simple as that!</span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">My next page features my son again. I am just so thankful for him, he is one the best blessings in my life. For my design I decided to try color blocking again. It has been so long since I tried this and I wanted to create a page with it. I left a small border around all of the papers and added some fun tags, banner, and stickers to my page.</span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">My last page features my husband, who I am so very blessed to have. Our anniversary is very soon. October 30th is our 16th anniversary. For my design of this page, I used a cutting file I created. It is sort of like a die cut argyle/diamond design. I absolutely love the Scrumptious collection and you can see how well the papers matches each other in this layout! This is a great way to use all of those scraps that you have sitting around. </span></span><br />

Over three years ago, I absolutely did not believe that food could heal. I mean really... I am eating good and bad. Surely the good was working, right? Not such the case. <br />
<br />
Rewind to 3 1/2 years ago, I wasn't feeling so great back then. I was overweight, having tons of headaches and migraines, and developed a new symptom which scared me. I started getting very light headed when getting up and walking around. I few times I nearly passed out. This went on for a few months. I went to my dr. who gave me lots of tests and found nothing wrong. She suggested taking a blood food allergy test. I thought she was nuts. I took it and waited weeks for the results, meanwhile feeling horrible. When I got the results I was shocked. It showed I had food intolerances to the following foods: Wheat, gluten, eggs, all dairy (including goat), beef, pineapple, a few nuts and mustard. You know how I knew it was correct? I have always gotten sick when I eat pineapple. I get and upset stomach and I almost throw up. So there it was a GIGANTIC list of food I should no longer eat.<br />
<br />
I immediately got rid of all of all those foods from my diet. My symptoms went away and I finally felt good. I had energy and migraines were only once a month at the most instead of 5-10 a month. I did great on this diet for two years. According the food intolerance books, I could try to add back foods and see if I had adverse reaction. I added back eggs first since this seems to be in EVERY recipe, even gluten free ones. I felt fine. I decided to add back a little dairy. I mean a little bit such as a tiny bit of butter to cook fish. I felt fine. Since I felt fine, I decided to add back more and more.<br />
<br />
Fast forward to a few weeks ago. Now I have basically added all dairy back to my diet and as I look back I can remember my migraines increasing. I just thought, "maybe I am one of those migraine people." These migraines were different. They lasted 1-3 days, yes 3 days! I had to take three days of migraine medicine just to function. They day after the migraine was almost a lost day. I would be having a sort of hangover from the pain and medicine. So, basically my migraines went back to up around 5-10 days of migraines/month. That is a lot of time to be miserable, right? I tried so many things during that time, exercise, sleeping better, supplements, nothing worked.<br />
<br />
This was it, I knew what I had to do. Dairy was staring me in the eyes. Let me saw that I love dairy: cream, American Cheese, Cream Cheese, whipped cream, aged cheeses, and of course BUTTER. I finally came to my senses and cut it all dairy again. Yes, every last bit. So far, my headaches are gone and I haven't had one migraine. I am sure I will still get one or two a month just from hormones or something like that, but I am hoping that this will do it.<br />
<br />
I also cut back on soy, corn, and potato. No more soda at all. This is not true Paleo but it is a do-able version that seems to fit into my life. Her is a list of things that I eat.<br />
<br />
Things I might eat for breakfast (not all at one time):<br />
Almonds and dried fruit, fruit, coffee, Kind bar, Juiced fruit and veggies<br />
<br />
Snacks (not all at one time): Fruits, small amount of popcorn, carrots, nuts<br />
<br />
Lunch (not all at one time): Lettuce wrapped turkey sandwich with avocado, onions, cucumber, tomato, and other veggies; turkeydogs without bun; organic potato chips; popcorn; juiced fruit/veggies; baked potato; baked chicken; plain fruit and veggies; squash; almond milk<br />
<br />
Dinner (not all at one time): Whatever we are making that doesn't have wheat, dairy, red meat, pineapple, mustard, etc. (I eat) Chicken, fish, turkey, pork, veggies, rice, potato, squash, almond milk etc. I also usually juice fruit/veggies. <br />
<br />
Desset (not all at one time): Enjoy Life chocolate, Lollipop (yes I do eat badly a bit), or Paleo dessert<br />
<br />
It works for me and I hope this will help somewhere out there with finding some relief to problems like migraines, headaches, dizziness, excess weight, fibromylagia pain, tiredness, and other problems. <br />

I created three layouts with this fun, bright, and festive collection. I remember when Heidi first showed me Scrumptious, I was so excited to CREATE layouts with it! My first page is called "The Patch." I got this inspiration for this one from sort of a corn maze. Well, a very symmetric one at that ;) . I love combining patterned paper to create my own patterns. The Scrumptious collection is JUST perfect for this page! Take a peek! </span><br />

<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"> Next, I created this fun fall layout of my family celebrating Halloween last year. Again,you will see that I love to use TONS of patterned papers together (and sewing too). In this layout and then one above I specifically created this layout to feature those AWESOME brads! I love the way they pop on a page. My favorite thing about Scrumptious collection is everything is coordinated so well. It is easy to combine the papers without getting that cluttered look! Here is my second page.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"> <img alt="Pam Callaghan Chickaniddy Crafts Scrumptious October Layout" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-3255" src="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Pam-Callaghan-Chickaniddy-Crafts-Scrumptious-October-Layout-600x600.jpg" height="400" width="400" /> </span><br />

<span style="font-size: small;">On to my third page which I created a cut file for. This shape sort of reminds me of a spider web so when I created it, I had that in mind. The Scrumptious papers fit into this design so well. You can see how well the colors of the collection make the colors of my photos pop! How cool is that. I hope you will like our <b>2nd giveaway</b>. A free cutting file I created. Simply </span><span style="font-size: small;">click on the link below and download.</span><br />

I started this blog in 2009 with a few contributors and the blog took off! I was so inspired by the different styles and projects, it made me step out of my comfort zone at time! After five wonderful years with SO inspiration and ideas from various contributors, I have decided to make IFS my own blog. I am definitely keeping all of the ideas archived for you to see and use. First I wanted to thank ALL of the contributors who made IFS what it is today!<br />
The last group of contributors did such an amazing job with ideas and projects, I just wanted to say thank you to all of them. Please visit their blogs (and gallery) here and make sure you follow them so you can keep up with what they are doing!!<br />

<br />
Because I have seen so many ways to add geometric shapes to scrapbook pages lately, I thought it would be fun to share some different ways that I used triangles on my recent layouts. <br />
<b><br /></b>
<b>1) Hand-cut Triangles:</b><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkiwanFcSmFYZwuq4VZb7rj47mo2kg6kMmd7hN5b-iQGlCBLe_xrpzVLmA8fJQjexf3EkwZbq9Y1EzfQ265Gm60489a3gkDAnh12JWi_UFpbBDC-EHuz-9FYEu27bzETX8hmGV9dqXHMWS/s1600/004a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkiwanFcSmFYZwuq4VZb7rj47mo2kg6kMmd7hN5b-iQGlCBLe_xrpzVLmA8fJQjexf3EkwZbq9Y1EzfQ265Gm60489a3gkDAnh12JWi_UFpbBDC-EHuz-9FYEu27bzETX8hmGV9dqXHMWS/s1600/004a.jpg" height="400" width="397" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I cut these triangles then machine stitched them horizontally onto my layout:<br />

<b>3) Banners and borders:</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started with very bright patterned paper as my background: </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig5AQMZrFZEqrHcZ-3JlhVFt6cqA2EPAATM5nU8L_7QflnHU9vgfEOSm-zBqpEZt75Fcv6bdkj9XTTMa7osROJlrnUKHmSm8vnAS2trQgjqq-LCTEfc0h3rQCezpMEr4oPIhH9XKMdKrx5/s1600/017a+-+Copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig5AQMZrFZEqrHcZ-3JlhVFt6cqA2EPAATM5nU8L_7QflnHU9vgfEOSm-zBqpEZt75Fcv6bdkj9XTTMa7osROJlrnUKHmSm8vnAS2trQgjqq-LCTEfc0h3rQCezpMEr4oPIhH9XKMdKrx5/s1600/017a+-+Copy.jpg" height="390" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
and added black triangles at the top in the form of a banner and the bottom as a border.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<b>4) Shapes:</b><br />
<br />
I saw an idea in a magazine about using geometric shapes to create simple forms.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIMmXAGrR-FXY6iejafZS8caj5Vf5TsXVsl7QIAQ9O3BITqFYz1cIXCDvURbWkNz6-9ViV80WO681NjjgvysBTVu39rclhB4cEyzcMtRaIYalkViuxptQ2cz34N8s1L9BvJJhCjQpsBtec/s1600/003a+-+Copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIMmXAGrR-FXY6iejafZS8caj5Vf5TsXVsl7QIAQ9O3BITqFYz1cIXCDvURbWkNz6-9ViV80WO681NjjgvysBTVu39rclhB4cEyzcMtRaIYalkViuxptQ2cz34N8s1L9BvJJhCjQpsBtec/s1600/003a+-+Copy.jpg" height="395" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
So I cut my the triangles and overlapped them to make the shape of a trees:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1Jkz88kjOXhsHz2A1w4PvMDqThdOJkybRmbP0HPg3GB-vOUE58CKAhORus22Gp1coHH1IW7oS2Wl6S_P5zaEhGl-Y_GoN5bxlrkbNCpXgCZQvbTHvshUAAl3wT4t2ajzjrR7vaE9pu0BI/s1600/008+-+Copy.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1Jkz88kjOXhsHz2A1w4PvMDqThdOJkybRmbP0HPg3GB-vOUE58CKAhORus22Gp1coHH1IW7oS2Wl6S_P5zaEhGl-Y_GoN5bxlrkbNCpXgCZQvbTHvshUAAl3wT4t2ajzjrR7vaE9pu0BI/s1600/008+-+Copy.JPG" height="320" width="190" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
That's it! All four layouts were extremely easy and fun to make with the addition of the triangles. I cannot wait to see what you create using geometric shapes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks so much for stopping by.</div>

<span style="font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 16px;">Hey there. This is Pam and today I am sharing my page that I created with a free cutting file. I started with an idea of overlapping half circles over one and other and realized that after I created my design, it kinda looks like mini rainbows! I repeated the design and then erased out some of the half circles. </span></div>

This is Pam sharing two things with you this morning. First a special sneak peek of the NEW Chicknaiddy lines coming up!! Second is a project I created! Here is a teaser of the two new collections coming soon. I absolutely am so so excited about this.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 16px;"><br /></span>
<br />
<span style="font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 16px;">Now onto my post today...I am going to be sharing one of my favorite techniques: layering die cuts with the foil paper using Chickaniddy patterned paper and foil paper.. I created this layout using the papers that Leigh shared on her card here on the <a href="http://www.chickaniddy.com/Blog/may-card-sketch/">May card sketch</a>. Hers is the second card down. I absolutely love how the patterns on her card look together! I paired those colors (minus the light pink) with some photos I took of my son. I decided to layer some die cut stars together to create my design. Here is my page.</span><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 16px;"><span style="font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 16px;"><img alt="Pam Callaghan Chickaniddy Foil Star Layout" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-2464" src="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/never-grow.jpg" height="395" width="400" /></span> </span></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 16px;"> </span><span style="font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 16px;"><img alt="Pam Callaghan Chickaniddy Foil Star Layout close-up 1" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-2465" src="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/never-grow-up-1-600x600.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></span>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 16px;"><img alt="Pam Callaghan Chickaniddy Foil Star Layout close-up 2" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-2484" src="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/never-grow-up-31-600x600.jpg" height="400" width="400" /> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 16px;"> As you can see, I layered the stars over one another. I made my design in my Silhouette with two layers in mind, one right over the other. I created a custom design where I put a series of larger stars with smaller stars in the middle. I die cut the larger stars out of the white cardstock. I used the negative of that. Next, I die cut the smaller stars into the gold foil paper. Again I used the negative of that. I layered those pieces of cardstock together and they fit perfectly. Underneath the negative of the gold die cut paper I adhered various patterned papers. You can how I created it here.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 16px;"> </span>
<img alt="never grow up 2" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-2466" src="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/never-grow-up-2-600x600.jpg" height="400" width="400" /> </div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 16px;">I stitched over some of the gold foil stars and put stickers in a few of them. All I needed to do was to embellish my page a bit more with brads and cut out word sentiments and I was done.</span>
<span style="font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 16px;">Supply list: Chickaniddy Twirly Girly: Paper Posies (TG14OS05), Party Dress (TG14OS06), Tea Party (TG14OS03), This and That (TG14OS07), Never Grow Up (TG14OS11), Piggy Tails (TG14OS12), Sticker Sheet (TG14EB02), Brads (TG14EB06).</span>
<span style="font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 16px;">Have a wonderful rest of your day!!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 16px;"> </span>

We are have a challenge related to my pages below: <a href="http://www.chickaniddy.com/blog/">http://www.chickaniddy.com/blog/</a><br />
<br />
On to my first project. I created a rainbow background and put my
elements on top of it. I cut various patterns at about 1/2 inch wide and
about 10 inches long and created a rainbow which went from pinks to
blue and back to pinks. I die cut my title out and placed it directly
over the pattern to create a neat effect.<br />
<br />
You know what I love
about the Chickaniddy collections? At the bottom of the patterned paper,
on the flip side of the product information, there is a pattern that
you can cut out and use. I will try to indicate which papers I used came
from what strips of paper below (they are in italics).<br />

DON'T
FORGET: I have the cutting file for my next page under the product
list. On my second page I am going to go into step by step on how I
created this look. This layout was completed using lots of strips of
paper and patterned paper cut into strips (about 1/2 inch wide) and cut
into a circle. I started with cutting a ton of strips of paper from both
collections and laying them out on the table. I did not use every
single one, but this helped me when figuring out which ones to use. Here
is a photo of that.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-mce-href="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Pam-Callaghan-Chickaniddy-Mix-collections-tutorial-1.jpg" href="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Pam-Callaghan-Chickaniddy-Mix-collections-tutorial-1.jpg"><img alt="Pam Callaghan Chickaniddy Rainbow tutorial 1" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2181" data-mce-src="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Pam-Callaghan-Chickaniddy-Mix-collections-tutorial-1.jpg" src="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Pam-Callaghan-Chickaniddy-Mix-collections-tutorial-1.jpg" height="276" width="400" /></a></div>
Next
I die cut my background using a cutting file (the free cutting file) I
created for my Silhouette. I did this next because I wanted to know how
large to cut out my circles. I cut out slightly larger circles on my
silhouette because I wanted to be able to fill the circle entirely with
patterns underneath. Here is a photo of my die cut.<br />
<div data-mce-style="text-align: center;" style="text-align: center;">
<a data-mce-href="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Pam-Callaghan-Chickaniddy-Mix-collections-tutorial-2.jpg" href="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Pam-Callaghan-Chickaniddy-Mix-collections-tutorial-2.jpg"><img alt="Pam Callaghan Chickaniddy Rainbow tutorial 2" class="size-full wp-image-2182 aligncenter" data-mce-src="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Pam-Callaghan-Chickaniddy-Mix-collections-tutorial-2.jpg" src="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Pam-Callaghan-Chickaniddy-Mix-collections-tutorial-2.jpg" height="357" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Next
I got out all of the extra circles I created, figured out where they
would go, and started to add my papers to the circles. For each circle I
adhered one color line but with different colored strips to each
circle. I cut off the ends so the end product would be circles with
different color lines. The main colors I used were: Dark grey, grey,
light grey, dark blue, light lime green, darker greens, mint
(blue/green), dark yellow, orange, pink, and dark pink. Here is a photo.<br />
<div data-mce-style="text-align: center;" style="text-align: center;">
<a data-mce-href="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Pam-Callaghan-Chickaniddy-Mix-collections-tutorial-3.jpg" href="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Pam-Callaghan-Chickaniddy-Mix-collections-tutorial-3.jpg"><img alt="Pam Callaghan Chickaniddy Rainbow tutorial 3" class="size-large wp-image-2183 aligncenter" data-mce-src="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Pam-Callaghan-Chickaniddy-Mix-collections-tutorial-3-600x600.jpg" src="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Pam-Callaghan-Chickaniddy-Mix-collections-tutorial-3-600x600.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
You
will see in the final product here I chose to add circles from the
sticker sheets over some of the patterns because I thought it looked
better. I also embellished my page quite a bit, and added my text and
photos.<br />

I saw Pam's recent pages that she posted using this collection, and just had to try it myself.<br />

<div>
I decided to make to girly page with these wonderful papers, and use a photo of my oldest daughter's smile to commemorate your 20th birthday! I converted it to black and white, too, and used both photos.</div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Hey all. It's<a href="http://ideasforscrapbookers.blogspot.com/"> Pam</a> and I am sharing two pages which are completely different but use the same collection. I really like the versatile patterns and color in the <a href="http://www.chickaniddy.com/product-category/collections/twirly-girly/">Twirly Girly collection by Chickaniddy Crafts</a>. The possibilities are endless! You will see below how different my pages look.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">My first page is of my friend's little girl. When I saw these photos I took, I envisioned butterflies and fun banners. Thus I created this page. I used a technique which I use often on my pages which is having a slight space between shape and the paper it is near. Check my layout below to see what I am talking about.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKXRJQ_biJl8YgHb44ini7st8bNwLQLkNspkG-84gQLJ-YG7VAv_yElLkIJDqHM-NoZVmc3dhrDGqtoRafZPTdqkDzWIyHtczHyctkRBniiNjeaq5OG9BU38fxFt91jnbOqrLJrF1NDBg/s1600/girly+girl.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKXRJQ_biJl8YgHb44ini7st8bNwLQLkNspkG-84gQLJ-YG7VAv_yElLkIJDqHM-NoZVmc3dhrDGqtoRafZPTdqkDzWIyHtczHyctkRBniiNjeaq5OG9BU38fxFt91jnbOqrLJrF1NDBg/s1600/girly+girl.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">
Here is how I achieved this look!</span><span style="font-size: small;">
First, I cut out my strips of paper like this.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"> </span><span style="font-size: small;">
<a href="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Chickaniddy-Twirly-Girly-Girl-Tutorial-1.jpg"><img alt="Pam Callaghan Chickaniddy Twirly Girly Tutorial 1" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1833" src="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Chickaniddy-Twirly-Girly-Girl-Tutorial-1.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a>
</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Next, I put the butterfly over my papers. I traced in pencil the outline but with a bit of space like </span><span style="font-size: small;">shown below.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"> <a href="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Chickaniddy-Twirly-Girly-Girl-Tutorial-2.jpg"><img alt="Pam Callaghan Chickaniddy Twirly Girly Tutorial 2" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1834" src="http://www.chickaniddy.com/wp-content/uploads/Chickaniddy-Twirly-Girly-Girl-Tutorial-2.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a>
</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">The last step is to cut out and adhere to page! You will see that it looks like the butterfly is floating.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"> </span><span style="font-size: small;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">On my next page, I scrapped this page of my son (you could also use a photo of a girl for this page). He has such a vibrant personality that I wanted to capture these photos with a burst of sun! I chose mainly four of the Chickaniddy colors for my page: pale yellow, grey, orange, white and a touch of pink. I absolutely love how many grey patterns there are in this collection. That gave me the idea for clouds! I used a piece of patterned grey, yellow, and white to make the sun bursts. I used pop dots on some of the clouds and outlined others with a white pen.</span><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></span></div>

This collection is so versatile! I am going to show you how to complete three completely different pet pages using different color combinations and papers. For each page I am going to share with you the color palette in paper form to help you get inspired.<br />
<br />
My first page is about my dog, Gabby. She is such a loving, loyal dog. I wanted to capture in a not too girly but still in a sweet way- ya know she is a German Shepherd ;). The Date Night collection has all of the right colors to scrapbook here. I chose a little orange, with touches of mint, florals, and a great brown background.<br />

Here is a close-up of how I did my journaling. I typed it out and put in the right amount of space so the papers and stickers would not overlap the journaling.<br />
<br />
As for the color palette I chose, here is the color palette.<br />

For my next page I went with a whole different color palette. I created this fun layout about my dog and snow. It RARELY snows at all here so it is a treat for a dog who grew up mostly in northern Ohio. She just loves to snow even if it is a dusting. For this color palette, you can see I chose brighter colors from the Date Night Collection like the mint green,blues,oranges, and patterned white papers. I even die cut some foil paper with the word "fun". This page was inspired by a layout by Diane Payne here <a href="http://www.chickaniddy.com/Blog/circles-layers-oh/">on the Chickaniddy blog</a>!<br />

For my last page, I used the softer, sweeter patterns for a page about my dear cat. Mia is 14 years old but just as beautiful as ever. Her calico fur still looks great. I wanted to include softer muted colors so I would not overpower my photos. I chose the softer oranges, mints, grays and off white patterns. SCROLL down for a free cutting file of the hanging hearts!<br />

Pam here sharing a brand new sketch that I created for Chickaniddy crafts! I think this works really well with the new paper collection called Date Night. Let's see the sketch!<br />

Spring is ALMOST upon us.... finally can you believe it? I am so into scrapping spring color palettes right now. I used <a href="http://www.chickaniddy.com/">Chickaniddy brand new Twirly Girly </a>collection for my page. You will see that along with these fun photos, the colors from the Twirly Girly collection really bring out the mood to the this page. When we moved to TN over a year ago it was very hard to leave friends behind. This page shares when they visited us. It was a great weekend to just hang out and have fun. <br />

<br />
In designing this page I wanted something so fun that would show their joy! What better than circles? I cut most of this using my Silhouette. If you want to achieve this look just create different sized circles using your Silhouette or cutting machine. Here is how I went about creating this page:<br />
1. All the big circles are a light gray color.<br />
2. All of the middle circles are plain cardstock<br />
3. Most of the small circles are the color as the outer circle except the have a pattern. Chickaniddy paper was just perfect for this.<br />
4. When combining colors like this, it will take away from being too busy and your photos will really pop!<br />
5. Pick out your patterned papers first to match to the corresponding cardstocks.<br />
<br />
I hope you have to time to make some fun pages soon!!<br />

The contributors at Ideas for Scrapbookers had such a great time working with <u><a href="http://ideasforscrapbookers.blogspot.com/2014/02/ready-for-new-sketch.html">Pam's sketch two weeks ago</a></u> that we're at it again! This time, I designed the sketch.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmLXBYLgzQLHeohsCifUAOJiVP1Fm7_w5bOyyqsKVwLur7SypOsHtqz71pvOA8yLDMJjd1g96FryXdmet5FlAvc9vLJP0xrdJEEJ3WyzHoTEyBZhG5yAP7hsgFR_Bg4W3WTVGG0xJeK34/s1600/sketch11.png.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmLXBYLgzQLHeohsCifUAOJiVP1Fm7_w5bOyyqsKVwLur7SypOsHtqz71pvOA8yLDMJjd1g96FryXdmet5FlAvc9vLJP0xrdJEEJ3WyzHoTEyBZhG5yAP7hsgFR_Bg4W3WTVGG0xJeK34/s1600/sketch11.png.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I actually made the sketch by working backwards from this layout:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmT0gMxS9VHtIPPf5oW5jhcPkwvo8ga35p9injGtyfBegdGCi0FFs7rlE73lCKKdu9Mt3Waqi94enR_q-nFvAA67uJ32IbxaC3UAmriUVKYq_cxIMSOJv-6-4l0YmEVuLyUE2gac1X4pI/s1600/our_shrinking_snowman.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmT0gMxS9VHtIPPf5oW5jhcPkwvo8ga35p9injGtyfBegdGCi0FFs7rlE73lCKKdu9Mt3Waqi94enR_q-nFvAA67uJ32IbxaC3UAmriUVKYq_cxIMSOJv-6-4l0YmEVuLyUE2gac1X4pI/s1600/our_shrinking_snowman.jpg" height="316" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
As you can see, I made a Then & Now layout featuring photos of my son next to our stuffed snowman in 2009 and again in 2013. What a difference four years makes! <br />
<br />
Check out the amazing creations the rest of the designers made from my sketch. I was absolutely blown away by the beautiful pages each person sent me. You're going to love them too.<br />
<br />
First up is Cathy. By coincidence, she also did a Then & Now page featuring her sons! She followed the sketch closely, but by rotating it 90 degrees she was able to make it work beautifully with horizontal photos. I love her use of pattern and color. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9kvLY_9B3p4tQzq4QeoLmgG_95I7NHQDUs6NTTTlyP4wqfWddd3d1yt-biiFHtli2lefKloun1fNaAWCy6sIZRlRZm_6DAi5ouEA7nQ1Oq5sQSNZvikVpGtHf2KyUFMcTnpm0UxH2uLQ/s1600/cathy_sketch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9kvLY_9B3p4tQzq4QeoLmgG_95I7NHQDUs6NTTTlyP4wqfWddd3d1yt-biiFHtli2lefKloun1fNaAWCy6sIZRlRZm_6DAi5ouEA7nQ1Oq5sQSNZvikVpGtHf2KyUFMcTnpm0UxH2uLQ/s1600/cathy_sketch.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next is Gael. She followed the sketch almost exactly, so it is amazing how different her layout is from mine! The page is so feminine and beautiful and suits her photos perfectly.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPXRE6W0-i1jq3_EmxSdQ3tlxvs3TgQM5epQNDZvLg44h2xC4RHzdgOIye0z8iIQlCJDk_NiSdzIWjqmzTLj0nNc7iVPVQu0z5ig_0-FVwMG6H0MH4ChCFHZPh7Mq8KTE4F2hh6aEsbrI/s1600/gael_sketch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPXRE6W0-i1jq3_EmxSdQ3tlxvs3TgQM5epQNDZvLg44h2xC4RHzdgOIye0z8iIQlCJDk_NiSdzIWjqmzTLj0nNc7iVPVQu0z5ig_0-FVwMG6H0MH4ChCFHZPh7Mq8KTE4F2hh6aEsbrI/s1600/gael_sketch.jpg" height="320" width="315" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Here is Tanya's page. Tanya almost always scraps two-page layouts, so I was eager to see what she would do with this sketch. I love that she turned the two vertical photos on the sketch into one horizontal picture. She also changed the 12x12 sketch into an 8.5x11 layout. I love the happy colors and patterns she used, as well as how much journaling she fit in!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsuK5p8NbQAtMdsR3JdkwfzcHe7DKAfw4vhePSgeOfu9SI8tzfA33kyxMhOLEayCwaEBpOXrvxDrXcM4jq3Y1hvR7RhjWfvb20qb2EPkgVevAju6rlZEBMMGUQRrBsiwqSSzTmBogIQJA/s1600/tanya_sketch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsuK5p8NbQAtMdsR3JdkwfzcHe7DKAfw4vhePSgeOfu9SI8tzfA33kyxMhOLEayCwaEBpOXrvxDrXcM4jq3Y1hvR7RhjWfvb20qb2EPkgVevAju6rlZEBMMGUQRrBsiwqSSzTmBogIQJA/s1600/tanya_sketch.jpg" height="320" width="255" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next, here is Sharon's layout. Like Tanya, Sharon used one photo instead of two like in the sketch, but she chose to split the photo to add visual interest. The whole layout is so powerful. Each time I look at it, I see new things to love.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgF_xMeKWdfHRZar6IgLfACncebzstHqVT3G1tCunkF7-1LILtMryVi3VZ0dF86qnlzbBAocUDZxgl4OxhV_g2E_m9HMtpOyz0bH6zZkAlvAzGW36-F7l7Ws4XFJ_m8m6yJU0bShS4QO6o/s1600/sharon_sketch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgF_xMeKWdfHRZar6IgLfACncebzstHqVT3G1tCunkF7-1LILtMryVi3VZ0dF86qnlzbBAocUDZxgl4OxhV_g2E_m9HMtpOyz0bH6zZkAlvAzGW36-F7l7Ws4XFJ_m8m6yJU0bShS4QO6o/s1600/sharon_sketch.jpg" height="320" width="318" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Finally, here is Lesley's two-page version of my sketch.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgz4JAawvc4XLU0AqXqR4Jg2u_lcTnvMLY5DAQu_vAEIguBfWWk_UxktjEqAyaqR01KPDzqXUToOZ4jGFLRZhE3XV1bGwNpnOGpNUUWXGCjIeb9iri37yTlAn7vNn97Aw2IggXQml8RM6w/s1600/lesley_sketch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgz4JAawvc4XLU0AqXqR4Jg2u_lcTnvMLY5DAQu_vAEIguBfWWk_UxktjEqAyaqR01KPDzqXUToOZ4jGFLRZhE3XV1bGwNpnOGpNUUWXGCjIeb9iri37yTlAn7vNn97Aw2IggXQml8RM6w/s1600/lesley_sketch.jpg" height="159" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you look closely, you'll notice that each half of the two-page layout follows the sketch! Here's the left side. It uses the sketch as is.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmcKe2drwcHIp0-OaI-BD1i89RTIMT5O2RGUfTfiMZQkRcCE6QuNRCbGaSpJMqVQKMC2Tfoza7EwxIVIN2TvzbFWz1a307526ZvxJ4j1WEbfAXienbEq7-uFgOxb759GSX_GhATWssUlg/s1600/lesley_L.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmcKe2drwcHIp0-OaI-BD1i89RTIMT5O2RGUfTfiMZQkRcCE6QuNRCbGaSpJMqVQKMC2Tfoza7EwxIVIN2TvzbFWz1a307526ZvxJ4j1WEbfAXienbEq7-uFgOxb759GSX_GhATWssUlg/s1600/lesley_L.jpg" height="320" width="319" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the right side, Lesley rotated the sketch 90 degrees, but still used two vertical photos. She used the same die-cut on each side (horizontal on the left and vertical on the right) to tie the two sides together. I love that she created two different (yet totally cohesive) pages from the same sketch.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpjPMemXA8PDukTXtlzLyGDHsDoWfV92vGg6BuTOlAvYSrxSxzdpdAMTInzYsLqlAhpmEqLVU6vDr97FBvCIJ62bh7-Rp9dMAr0MY0iwOY1Y2UbwLJWXL9OrYh4_3a7XAbDBrjhwie0VM/s1600/sharon_R.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpjPMemXA8PDukTXtlzLyGDHsDoWfV92vGg6BuTOlAvYSrxSxzdpdAMTInzYsLqlAhpmEqLVU6vDr97FBvCIJ62bh7-Rp9dMAr0MY0iwOY1Y2UbwLJWXL9OrYh4_3a7XAbDBrjhwie0VM/s1600/sharon_R.jpg" height="315" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So there you have it... six artists' interpretations of the same sketch. If you use the sketch, please let us know! We'd love to feature your work.</div>

This is Pam and I am going to be sharing what I have been working on lately. I have been pairing strips of paper (I am calling them banners) with shapes. You will see this with a couple of different layouts I have completed recently. The first page features hearts plus a banners. I created this cutting file in Photoshop and then cut it with my Silhouette in may different sizes. I cut the middle heart out in a different pattern and adhered them to my page. Here is the result: a fun Valentine's page with lots of hearts! <i>(I will be giving this cutting file away soon on this blog, so make sure you come back to get it)</i><br />

"Love You" by Pam Callaghan</div>
For my next page, you can see I used the same idea, but with stars. I mean, what goes better with Iron Man than some stars representing his power? My son loved his costume so much, I needed something that expressed his enthusiasm for it. Here is my page and digital cutting files after that! <br />

Hi there! It's Cathy here and I have an adorable project to share with you today.<br />
<br />
Karen created a wonderful invite for baby shower using the <a href="http://ideasforscrapbookers.blogspot.com/2010/02/baby-dress-card-and-template.html" target="_blank"><b><span style="color: #0b5394;">Baby Dress Card Template</span></b></a> that I shared a few years ago.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaTNILltUNA7TP0xaNrtIDjP_hnab2cjPNmazMgVsf6zmDRSW6Rqq8XN7VFuwYIHugMdNUPbW-6Q_bksTiiJyO1fwEsfLJaR2ntmL-Sqw5PSkQQyOyxYppDPl5ypZU3Osvac-7cUXvO9c/s1600/BabyDress.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaTNILltUNA7TP0xaNrtIDjP_hnab2cjPNmazMgVsf6zmDRSW6Rqq8XN7VFuwYIHugMdNUPbW-6Q_bksTiiJyO1fwEsfLJaR2ntmL-Sqw5PSkQQyOyxYppDPl5ypZU3Osvac-7cUXvO9c/s1600/BabyDress.jpg" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Isn't this gorgeous? Karen used cardstock, tule, ribbon, pearled trim, and rosette ribbon. I really like how she created a dainty and darling accent using the pearled trim at both the neck line and hem line. The card opens to display the details of the shower invite. Absolutely adorable!<br />
<br />
Karen is a blogger, but she doesn't blog about crafts. She blogs about life as the "mom" to cute golden doodle named Abbie. You can see beautiful photos and read about her antics at her blog <a href="http://mydogabbie.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">MyDogAbbie</a>.<br />
<br />
Thanks for sharing your creation with us Karen! If you've created a project using our templates, cut files, sketches or techniques, and would like to share them on our blog, please email us (scrappycath @ gmail.com)<br />

<br />
Sharon here today to share some winter pages that I just made this past month. <span style="background-color: #fefafa; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 30.66666603088379px; text-align: center;">♥</span><br />
<br />
If you live in North America anywhere near the north-east, you have probably been getting a snow, ice, and freezing rain - filled winter like we have here in Pennsylvania. Even the southern states were not spared this winter. In trying to keep a positive attitude throughout all of this, I attempted to embrace the snow instead of disliking it. I did it by doing two things that I love to do: taking lots of photos and scrapping them! <br />
<br />
Here are 3 pages that I created using snow filled photos:<br />
<br />

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To make these pages, I decided to use only things from my stash. I had beautiful Anne Griffin papers:</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
and the Prima "Lyric" papers:</div>

Pam with you today sharing a new sketch and a few takes of it. I am totally BLOWN AWAY by the pages that the contributors created for the sketch. Each of their takes on sketch are so different and really inspire to me create new pages! First let me share with you the sketch! It is pretty simple with three photos and a few extra embellishments to accent the page.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihhEv5e5EkYS1uGy3vbUakgJOeN230iyYTxnintchHeelwbA_Io48aNAvexnF1gHk14TVhBa6WwlQpdZJ4rv3V2U9l_vjPWUgDwlsZ933B7i_6B2AieTDuq6f8l63m94x_qmGkeJyNKZs/s1600/Sketch+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihhEv5e5EkYS1uGy3vbUakgJOeN230iyYTxnintchHeelwbA_Io48aNAvexnF1gHk14TVhBa6WwlQpdZJ4rv3V2U9l_vjPWUgDwlsZ933B7i_6B2AieTDuq6f8l63m94x_qmGkeJyNKZs/s1600/Sketch+1.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>

Lesley is up first with a breathtaking layout using the sketch. This has to be my all time favorite layout by Lesley. I just adore everything about it from the sweet film strips of her granddaughter to the accents of pink, blue and cream. This could not be any sweeter! You can see she stuck to the original sketch except added photos and paper to the middle strip. Amazing! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiC_m0fN5NPMQT93StaLhn4fq1FPcHyviVnjzuIw1aiOElFgL3hfWPSDaYMAnEIGtAhmxzKYiubpVUn55SqwL1aD-BmLX03lxFqtNreEXHoXUYhXkviuz7j-v8C_5wZr0_Y8WfCTpjwsps/s1600/pam+dt+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiC_m0fN5NPMQT93StaLhn4fq1FPcHyviVnjzuIw1aiOElFgL3hfWPSDaYMAnEIGtAhmxzKYiubpVUn55SqwL1aD-BmLX03lxFqtNreEXHoXUYhXkviuz7j-v8C_5wZr0_Y8WfCTpjwsps/s1600/pam+dt+2.jpg" height="320" width="318" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Gael's page is up next! Her page is one word: strikingly beautiful. There are many things to notice and love about this page such as the collage of embellishments on the top and the unique color scheme which matches the photo to a T! For her take on the sketch she kept the original design, but took away the top photos and added embellishments instead. I couldn't imagine this photo scrapped better!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
Cindy is up next with her page! Again, this is probably my new favorite page by Cindy! I just love how she documented so many things in this page having to with their life. The photo coming off the side just looks great and I love the border of pink around the photo blocks. Her style is so clean it all comes together so well. You will notice she flipped the sketch to the right 90 degrees, added two more photos, and adjusted the embellishments to work for her page! :)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
Sharon created our last page today. Again I am totally wowed! The colors, patterns and design work are designed so well I just can't stop staring at the details like the vintage photos, bright pops of colors, and the beautiful die cut title. I just love how she made it her own!! Looking at her page compared the sketch, you will notice she flipped this 180 degrees. She has her one big photo on the bottom accented by the other photos (she used three). The three photos on the top really bring your eyes downward to that great castle photo. Love this!<br />

Tanya here today, sharing a layout I made.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">I always have lots of random pics of my four-legged kids, so doing a layout for National Dog Day made sense to me. I used Echo Park's Note To Self collection for the papers and stickers. I really like all the tickets and patterns going on, but having all my photos line up in a grid makes it feel less cluttered to me. And, I thought the colors of our shirts in several photos (orange and gray) and our dogs (brown, black, white) also matched this collection! It was a happy accident that I was really excited about! :) </span><br />

<br />
Last fall, my son Trevor and I participated in a fitness event called SoFitCity, a friendly competition amongst the cities in our county to see who would win the title for having the most participants do one of the runs. Trevor and I did the Family Fun Run. Obviously, running and photography don't go together all that well. We bumped into a friend right before the start and had her take a picture of us together wearing our race numbers. During the race, I zoomed ahead of Trevor at one point to take a picture of him running. Then I stopped running near the end so I could fall back and take a picture of him about to cross the finish line. None of the pictures turned out great and I only had the three, but I really did want to document the event. My solution was to print them small, group them together, and keep the layout really, really simple.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhCQENfm62qEx4cYVc3bUr3lBchyW5QTWMO9YlGBVqf7jkjMuiKgmJxAXdnlVPaEjxjGVYh1KJmOnfpwHwk4OxqptRok9sHoUfF_XRQLjI0OmHabbv-A7O-0DhHQL4OECoH5wj9bTGS90/s1600/sofitcity.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhCQENfm62qEx4cYVc3bUr3lBchyW5QTWMO9YlGBVqf7jkjMuiKgmJxAXdnlVPaEjxjGVYh1KJmOnfpwHwk4OxqptRok9sHoUfF_XRQLjI0OmHabbv-A7O-0DhHQL4OECoH5wj9bTGS90/s1600/sofitcity.jpg" height="319" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
It's not the greatest layout ever, but it's in the album and the memory is recorded, despite the mediocre photos. <br />
<br />
What do you do when the only photos you have of an event are lousy?<br />
