...so what is a "kit club"? Well, it's a monthly subscription to a kit filled with coordinating cardstock, patterned papers, and embellishments. The kit club matches products up for you, so you don't have to go searching for all the pieces that go together. Also, they deliver it right to your door, so you get a package of scrapbooking products on a monthly basis.
Each kit club varies in price and products, so shopping to see which one suits your style is probably best. Also, some kits will allow you to purchase a subscription of each kit, which will lower the monthly cost of each kit. As for shipping charges, these will also vary according to every kit club.
Here's a list of some kit clubs I have spotted:
3. Color Me Daisy - http://colormedaisy.com
4. The Sampler - http://www.scrapbookingsuppliesrus.com/theSampler
5. Swirlydoos Kit Club: http://www.swirlydoos.com/news.php
6. The Paper Tree House: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=104783196233602&ref=ts
7. The Sampler: http://www.scrapbookingsuppliesrus.com/theSampler
I, for one, am a fan of kit clubs. It saves me the time from having to match and coordinate products. Also, it saves me from taking a trip to my local scrapbook store because it's delivered right to your front door.
For those of you who do subscribe to a kit club, feel free to share which ones you love and why in the comments below.
Hugs,
I subscribe to Scrapbook Deals 4 You and I LOVE their kits. My favorite part is that you get to choose from 3 kits, so you KNOW you'll get something you like!
ReplyDeleteI subscribe to My Creative Scrapbook and I also purchase from Scrap Attack Scrapbooking, they do not require a subscription so it is easier for me if I don't have the money every month. They are a huge help in knocking out layouts! They do all the thinking for you
ReplyDeleteHere's one of the projects I have done as Guest Designer for The Sampler for May. http://gluedotsandglitter.blogspot.com/2010/05/scrapbooking-supplies-r-us.html
ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of kitsesp living in New Zealand where we are limited to what we can buy here. i havebeen part of 4 clubs but my fave so far is Noel Mignon, i have never had a kit as packed, they are awesome. i am just waiting on my first kit from Studio Calico and cannot wait
ReplyDeleteI've been getting The Scraproom for years. You get 4 different mini kits each month! Plus many choices of add-on clubs. Go check it out!
ReplyDeleteI think Citrus Tree Studio and Paper Poppies Kit Co. both have fantastic kits!
ReplyDeleteI have done Mosh Posh kits before and they are fabulous. Inexpensive and gorgeous stuff. With them it's easier to be a member because they sell out fast! Although I have never gotten one, Noel Mignon was gorgeous kits too. They are pretty expensive, but you get TONS of stuff.
ReplyDeleteAlso check with you LSS. A group of my scrapbook friends contacted our closest store which is about 2 1/2 hours away and they were willing to put kits together each month and send to us. We got to dictate the price, they get the products together each month, and then send them to one of us so that we can save on shipping. It's great!
I havent had a kit since kraft girl kits went close. Im loving the looks of those kits those.
ReplyDeleteI like Scrapbook Deals 4U..just ask Heather L!! ;) I like the choice of kits and she has wonderful products in there, some I wouldn't normally buy on my own. So, it is nice that I get to try them out. Aphra Bolyer's Paper Poppy Kit Club is also wonderful. She puts to get a mix of products that I also don't normally buy. It is a great combo of things too!!
ReplyDeleteLovely kits I want one!
ReplyDeleteI'm on the DT for one of the kit clubs you've mentioned 'My Creative Scrapbook' and I can tell you it really makes a difference having kits to work with each month, ...having things already co-ordinated helps save time and mess! LOL! I recently did a couple of l/o's that were non kit and Wowsers! by the time I pulled out all the stash I thought would possible work with my l/o my room was a huge mess! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm on the DT for My Scrapbook Nook and I really love the kits there. They're coordinated beautifully and my favourite part about the kits is that the papers are all from a single manufacturer.
ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of kits, too. There are a few that I love: My Scrapbook Nook (top of the line kits, really), Mosh Posh (they put so much in for such a little amount of money) and The Story Matters (I love the mix of stuff they give you each month). Kits take all the guess work out of picking out coordinating supplies.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for spot lighting Swirlydoos. I am on the Design Team there and love every bit from the main kit to the fabulous add ons that coordinate with the main kit. Kit clubs are wonderful as everything is already coordinated for you from paper to flowers to embellies. You can always add from your own stash. You are not limited to LO's, you could do mini albums, cards and even alter objects using the kits. Its a great way to take the guess work out of coordinating products, and you usually get the newest products even before they hit the stores. Just sit back in the comfort of your own home, and wait for the mailman every month!! He will surely become your best friend!!!
ReplyDeleteI love Paper Posies, too! Two of my other favorites are Hip 2-b Square scrapbooking and Personal Scrapper.
ReplyDeleteKits are the best for having coordinating products together and ready to go. I love to get a kit and a stack of photos and match everything up. :)
Another fan of My Scrapbook Nook here! I'm currently on the DT but I've been a subscriber as well (before and during getting on the DT), because I just can't seem to scrap without these kits. They're so cleverly designed and perfectly matched! All I need is some adhesive & cardstock - and Iäm ready to go. :)
ReplyDeleteI love My Scrapbook Nook! I have been a subscriber for two years and I have never been disapointed.
ReplyDeleteThey are perfectly matched and the add ons are lovely!
I have two of the above mentioned kits :)
ReplyDeleteScrapbook Nooks kit is ALWYAS extremly well composed and full of nice goodies, for a very reasonable price even including shipping to the UK!!!
Paper Poises is also a great kit, a bit priceier but so nice. Usually get a few things that are use-more-than-one-time, such as glimmer mists or things like that which I like!
I can HIGHLY recommend both of them!!! :)
I'm currently enrolled in my second kit club...enjoyed the first one but felt that the papers were geared to more younger child Los . Right now I'm recieving a new Canadian kit that just started this past May . ScrapThat is from Alberta and I love their kits so much . Living in Nl { were the nearest { and ONLY] scrap store is 8 hours away}, I really appreciate having access to all the lovely goodies/new releases that I get in this kit. great if your style is shabby/chic -vintagy ! find them at:
