Designer Showcase: Handmade Flowers & Embellishments!

Creating flower and embellishments out of paper and other materials is very trendy right now and budget savvy. Why not use the supplies you already own to create some beautiful and unique projects. I am sharing today some great examples today! Get ready for some great inspiration!

Lisa is up first! She created the gorgeous layout using stamps from Heartfelt Creations which you layer to make 3-D flowers! It turned it soooo cool!

Sara also created a neat, unique flower on her pages! I love how she made it fit a boy page by adding some patterned paper and a button on the top of the ribbon flower!

Next up is four amazing pages by Dolores! It features a Dahlia fold! The instructions to make the flower are on her blog. http://thejoyofscrapbooking.blogspot.com/2009/05/dahlia-fold-flower.html . Isn't this gorgeous?

The next page by Dolores was created by using leaves cut from a greeting card. What a total innovative idea! I will have to try this! Way to recycle old materials!

Next is another page by Dolores. It features flowers that are punched. She used two layers, glued them together to get a nice petal curl, then distressed them! This turned out so pretty!!

Lastly, is another stunning page by Dolores! It features handmade roses (they are the small beige ones). So very pretty!!!

Heather created two beautiful layout using lollipop flowers! I totally love this technique and it gives such a neat look to her pages. Here are two different pages using the same technique! Great page ideas!

Nancy created this gorgeous page using two different techniques! The first is the curling and twisting of the paper to create the gorgeous rose look! The second is paper pleating. I love how she used two different types of flowers-- all handmade!

Lastly, we have an amazing project and flower created by Cathy! I just love the look of her flower, how it shiny and looks like it was expensive to buy! You can create this too, by referencing her tutorial here.

You can also find more tutorials on how to make flowers and embellishments here. Do you have some handmade floral (or other embellishment) projects you want to share? Send them to me at scrappingpam73@yahoo.com and I will feature them!
