Have you ever wondered what to do with those sheets of Basic Grey tags that used to come with the collection packs before they updated and started offering sticker accents? I have the perfect solution for you! Use them all at once in a jumble of some sort on your layout. (See example below.)
I started this layout by punching out all of the tags and chalking the edges for definition. Then pile them all on your page randomly until you decide you like the design. After you attach them, you can add buttons, brads, and ribbon to dress up the punched holes. Layer a photo on top, add some journaling and a title, and you’re done!
Another handy tip: To stretch your Thickers stash… A “3” turned around makes a great “e”. Lower case “n’s” and “u’s” are usually interchangeable. “W’s” and “M’s” are interchangeable too! “P’s” can become “d’s”, and periods can become flower stems when stacked in a line. Commas make great leaves! Also, don’t forget you can turn the number eight sideways to look like two “o’s” side by side! Don’t be afraid to be creative and think outside the box! (See my title in the above layout for examples.)
That is a GREAT tip, regarding the tags. I have a plastic baggie filled with these things and I never know what to do with them!
